Chile's LAN to start flying to Toronto
SANTIAGO, July 15 (Reuters) - Chile's dominant airline LAN LAN.SN(LFL.N) said on Tuesday it would begin service to Toronto five times a week from September.
"We are adding a new destination in North America," LAN said in a statement. "We are also offering a new cargo alternative for exporters and importers."
LAN will fly to Toronto via New York, using Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
LAN, which has affiliates in Ecuador, Peru and Argentina, accounts for more than half of Chile's international passenger traffic and nearly three-quarters of its domestic traffic.
