Dollar hits session high vs yen
NEW YORK, July 17 (Reuters) - The dollar hit a session high above 94 yen on Friday, reversing earlier losses, as stock futures trimmed losses following data showing a jump in U.S. housing starts last month.
The housing data helped to partly offset a mixed batch of U.S. corporate earnings on Friday.
The dollar was last up 0.3 percent at 94.07 yen JPY= after hitting a session peak at 94.18 yen, according to Reuters data.
The euro also pared losses against both the dollar and yen. It last traded at $1.4118 EUR=, down 0.2 percent on the day, and at 132.88 yen EURJPY=, up 0.1 percent. (Editing by XXX; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
