LOS ANGELES, March 17 (Reuters) - The 775-megawatt natural gas-fired Ormond Beach Unit 2 returned to service Sunday night or Monday after an outage of about four days, according to a report of the California Independent System Operator.

The Reliant Energy Inc (RRI.N) two-unit 1,516-megawatt Ormond Beach power plant now has both units on line. Unit 1 returned to service over the weekend after an outage of almost two weeks.

The power plant is located in Oxnard in Ventura County, about 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Unit 1 opened in 1971 and Unit 2 in 1973.
