U.S. crude futures tumble on China fuel price rise
NEW YORK, June 19 (Reuters) - U.S. crude futures tumbled sharply after news that China will raise gasoline and diesel prices.
China will boost retail gasoline and diesel prices by 1,000 yuan ($145.5) per tonne from Friday, the first increase in eight months, industry sources told Reuters. [ID:nPEK185270]
On the New York Mercantile Exchange at 9:40 a.m. EDT (1340 GMT), July crude CLN8 was down $2.28 or 1.67 percent at $134.40 per barrel, trading from $133.45 to $137.82. (Reporting by Robert Gibbons)
