HOUSTON (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil Corp. has started evacuating nonessential workers from some Gulf of Mexico oil and natural gas platforms as Tropical Storm Dolly approaches, a company spokeswoman said on Monday.

"We have initiated evacuation of nonessential personnel from those offshore facilities expected to be in the path of the storm," spokeswoman Margaret Ross said in a statement, calling the impact on production minimal.
