LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Brooke Langton, who had a recurring role on the NBC drama "Friday Night Lights," will co-star on the network's upcoming drama series "Life."

"Life" centers on a falsely imprisoned cop (Damian Lewis) who rejoins the force as a changed man. Langton will play the lawyer who got him out of prison. There's a spark between the two characters despite the fact that she's married.

Langton replaces Melissa Sagemiller, who played the part in the pilot.

Langton next will be seen in the feature "The Kingdom," a political thriller directed by "Lights" executive producer Peter Berg.
