MEXICO CITY, May 25 (Reuters) - Mexican brokerage Actinver said on Monday it agreed to buy the local asset management business of Prudential Financial for an undisclosed amount.

Actinver said the acquisition will leave it with a total of 200,000 clients and 60 billion pesos ($4.6 billion) in assets under management.

The purchase, which must still be approved by authorities, does not include Prudential's (PRU.N) insurance or pension fund management business in Mexico.
