IMM speculators pare bets against U.S. dollar-CFTC
NEW YORK, July 25 (Reuters) - Currency speculators halved their bets against the U.S. dollar, according to the latest weekly data from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission showed on Friday.
The value of the U.S. dollar's net short position dropped to $9.66 billion in the week to July 22, from $20.01 billion the previous week.
The aggregate U.S. dollar position is derived from the net positions of International Monetary Market speculators in the yen, euro, British pound, Swiss franc, Canadian and Australian dollars.
