Mexico stocks jump as telecoms, retailers lead
MEXICO CITY, June 26 (Reuters) - Mexican stocks jumped on Friday, led by telecommunication firms America Movil (AMXL.MX: Quote, Profile, Research) and Carso Telecom (TELECOMA1.MX: Quote, Profile, Research) and by retailers Soriana (SORIANAB.MX: Quote, Profile, Research) and Wal-Mart de Mexico (WALMEXV.MX: Quote, Profile, Research).
The IPC stock index .MXX briefly gained as much as 1.05 percent, before falling back to 24,400, up 0.62 percent. (Reporting by Michael O'Boyle; Editing by James Dalgleish)
