New Issue-Harrah's sells $1.375 bln 8-yr notes

  May 27 (Reuters) - Harrah's Operating Company Inc and
Harrah's Escrow Company on Wednesday jointly sold $1.0 billion
in eight-year senior secured notes in the 144a private
placement market, said IFR, a Thomson Reuters service.  The
debt will be assumed by Harrah's Operating Company.
  The size of the deal was increased from an originally
planned $1.0 billion.
  Bank of America, Citigroup, and J.P. Morgan were the joint
bookrunning managers for the sale.
