Grammy-nominated songwriter Kara DioGuardi had been selected as a judge for the hit television show. "I'm going to be a straight shooter and say it like I see it," she says. Asked who her favorite Idol has been so far, DioGuardi says: "I loved Kelly (Clarkson) ... She has an incredible voice." DioGuardi, 37, will join the show as its fourth judge when it returns in January for an eighth season - US WEEKLY
