WASHINGTON, April 29 (Reuters) - Boeing Co (BA.N) has won a U.S. Special Operations Command contract worth up to $250 million for a remotely piloted reconnaissance aircraft system, the Defense Department said on Wednesday.
The deal is for "Mid Endurance Unmanned Aircraft System" information gathering, target surveillance and reconnaissance, the Pentagon's daily contract digest said.
The contract includes four annual options and was awarded through full and open competition, the notice said. The work is to be performed in St. Louis and overseas and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2014, it added. (Reporting by Jim Wolf, Editing by Richard Chang)
