SABMiller CEO declines comment on Modelo

NEW YORK (Reuters) - SABMiller (SAB.L) chief executive Graham Mackay on Monday declined comment on whether the brewer has approached Mexican beermaker Grupo Model (GMODELOC.MX) about a possible merger.

Sources told Reuters last week that SABMiller, the world's largest brewer, had held informal discussions with Grupo Modelo and InBev INTB.BR to explore options, including a merger of Modelo and SABMiller.
