China puts quake toll at over 21,500

BEIJING (Reuters) - The death toll from China's worst earthquake in decades stood at over 21,500 on Friday, Sichuan Vice-Governor Li Chengyun said.

The government has said the death toll was expected to rise to more than 50,000.
