BEIJING/SHANGHAI, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Chinese newspapers available in Beijing and Shanghai carried the following stories on Friday. Reuters has not checked the stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.

CHINA SECURITIES JOURNAL

-- Yuan appreciation will not help the global economy return to balance, said Justin Lin Yifu, chief economist and senior vice president of the World Bank. On the contrary, a rising yuan will impede the global economy which is just showing signs of recovery.

-- Shenji Group Kunming Machine Tool Co (600806.SS) said its state parent wants to sell a 30 percent stake to interested bidders, raising 1.15 billion yuan ($168.5 million).

-- An unnamed executive of China Minsheng Banking Corp (600016.SS) said the bank's capital adequacy ratio would increase to more than 12 percent after its H-share initial public offering, without providing comparative figures.

SHANGHAI SECURITIES NEWS

-- GD Power Development Co (600795.SS) said it plans to issue no more than 783 million shares to its state parent at 6.79 yuan per share in exchange for an 80 percent stake in its parent's subsidiary in the eastern province of Jiangsu.

-- China's aviation regulatory and its top economic planning body have issued a notice allowing airlines to raise their fuel surcharge at their own discretion after jet fuel prices top 4,140 yuan per tonne, effective Saturday.  Continued...
