EU president: Moscow, Kiev must solve gas row soon
PRAGUE, Jan 6 (Reuters) - The cut in supplies of Russian gas to Europe through Ukraine is getting serious and the two parties must find a resolution by the end of the week, the Czech European Union presidency said on Tuesday.
"In my opinion there must be an agreement between Moscow and Kiev this week," said Deputy Prime Minister Alexandr Vondra of the Czech Republic, which holds the EU's rotating presidency.
He said the situation was worsening and could become a serious problem if it persists for several days. (Reporting by Jan Lopatka)
