ROME, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Italy's antitrust authority said on Thursday that oil companies, including Italy's ENI (ENI.MI), had committed themselves to lowering petrol prices at self-service pumps.

The antitrust authority, which announced in January it was investigating firms for possible cartel activity, said Eni had committed itself to cut petrol prices by 6 euro cents at some pumps.
