Ericsson says signs deal with Japan's Softbank

STOCKHOLM, July 18 (Reuters) - Telecom equipment maker Ericsson (ERICb.ST) said on Friday it had signed a frame agreement with Japanese operator Softbank Mobile (9984.T) to expand and upgrade a network.

"With this contract, Ericsson will expand its business with Softbank by providing enhanced HSPA on new and existing base stations in the high traffic areas of Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka," Ericsson said in a statement.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
