Lundin Petroleum misses Q3 pretax forecast
STOCKHOLM, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Swedish oil firm Lundin Petroleum (LUPE.ST) posted a lower-than-expected third-quarter pretax profit on Wednesday and said it expected production in the full year to be in the mid range of its guidance.
Pretax profit for the period was 124 million Swedish crowns ($18.05 million), compared to a year-ago profit of 766 million, and lower than the 464 million forecast in a Reuters poll of eight analysts.
Lundin said the results were negatively affected by 529 million crowns of costs related to unsuccessful exploration and writedowns of assets in Venezuela.
