Hyundai Heavy wins $1.2 bln ship order from Maersk
SEOUL, June 25 (Reuters) - Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd (009540.KS), the world's top shipbuilder, said on Wednesday that it had won an 1.2 trillion won ($1.2 billion) order to build 13 container ships for A.P. Moller-Maersk (MAERSKb.CO).
Hyundai said in a filing to the Korea Exchange that the vessels would be delivered by October, 2011.
A Hyundai spokesman said by telephone that the order was part of a deal it signed with the Danish shipping and oil group for the delivery of 18 container vessels in 2011 and 2012. [ID:nL24458153]
