North Korea offers $100,000 to China for quake victims
SEOUL (Reuters) - Impoverished North Korea has offered $100,000 to China to help with disaster relief in the wake of Monday's devastating earthquake, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said on Saturday.
The report came a day after the United States said it would provide 500,000 tonnes of food aid to North Korea despite their standoff over Pyongyang's nuclear program.
North Korea is a frequent recipient of foreign aid.
