** China's Hebei Zhongxing Automobile Co is in talks with General Motors (GM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) and major Chinese automaker FAW Group to explore opportunities for cooperation, including equity ties, a source close to the situation said. To read more, please double click on [nSHA16697]
** Mapletree Investments, a property firm owned by Singapore state investor Temasek, said it will support a rights issue by Mapletree Logistics Trust (MAPL.SI: Quote, Profile, Research) by buying units not taken up by other investors. [nSIN221478]
** Australia's competition watchdog cleared a joint bid for Dairy Farmers by National Foods, owned by Japan's Kirin Holdings (2503.T: Quote, Profile, Research), and Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory (WCB.AX: Quote, Profile, Research), accepting their moves to ease competition concerns.
