Rugby-Injured Latham to miss Queensland swansong
SYDNEY, May 11 (Reuters) - Queensland Reds fullback Chris Latham will miss their final Super match of the season against the New South Wales Waratahs after tearing a shoulder muscle in the 27-21 defeat by the Canterbury Crusaders on Saturday.
The 32-year-old Australia international will be left stranded on 99 Super rugby appearances for Queensland when he heads to England to play for Worcester.
"That's the end of one of the greatest careers in the Reds jersey," Reds coach Phil Mooney told reporters.
"Unfortunately not everyone gets a fairytale send-off." (Reporting by Ed Osmond; Editing by John O'Brien)
