Soccer-Roundup-Barcelona's Zambrotta out for a month

SINGAPORE, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Soccer news in brief from around the world:

* Barcelona fullback Gianluca Zambrotta will be sidelined for a month with a torn thigh muscle in his right leg, the Primera Liga club said.

The 30-year-old Italy international was substituted after only 18 minutes of Wednesday's Primera Liga match against Real Zaragoza, which Barca went on to win 4-1.

Zambrotta miss Barca's next two Champions League Group E matches away to VfB Stuttgart and Rangers, as well as Italy's Euro 2008 qualifier at home to Georgia on Oct. 13.

* Bundesliga club Energie Cottbus have appointed Slovene Bojan Prasnikar as coach to replace Petrik Sander, who was fired on Sunday.

The club are in last place in the table with two points from seven matches and lost 5-0 to leaders Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

The 54-year-old Prasnikar, a former coach of the Slovenian national team, signed a contract through to the end of the 2008/09 season, Cottbus said on its web site (www.fcenergie.de).
