Rugby-Mortlock ruled out of Grand Slam tour

SYDNEY, Nov 7 (Reuters) - Former Australia captain Stirling Mortlock has been ruled out of the Wallabies' Grand Slam tour of Britain and Ireland after aggravating a leg injury, local media reported on Saturday.
Mortlock was due to leave Australia on Saturday and re-join the team for the tests against Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
But Mortlock, who was earlier ruled out of last week's test against New Zealand in Tokyo and Saturday's clash with England at Twickenham, was forced to withdraw after re-injuring himself in training.
Mortlock joins fellow centres Rob Horne and Berrick Barnes as casualties from the tour. The Australians have yet to decide on a replacement. (Reporting by Julian Linden; Editing by Greg Stutchbury; To query or comment on this story email sportsfeedback@thomsonreuters.com)
