SINGAPORE/SEOUL, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Singapore Airlines (SIAL.SI) and Korean Air Co (003490.KS), two of Asia's biggest airlines, flagged a recovery in travel demand after their quarterly results showed some signs of improvement.
SIA, the world's biggest carrier by market value, narrowed its losses from the previous quarter, saying travel demand is gradually recovering, while Korean Air posted its second straight quarterly profit and forecast further recovery next year.
However SIA's loss was bigger than analysts had expected, and ongoing woes at Japan Airlines (9205.T) suggested the industry's revival would not be free from turbulence. Continued...
