BRIEF-Golf-New Zealand Open moved to January
WELLINGTON, July 6 (Reuters) - Next year's New Zealand Open golf tournament will revert back to a January time slot after being shifted to March this season.
New Zealand Golf (NZG) said on Monday the event, co-sanctioned by the Australasian and U.S. secondary tours, would be held at the private Hills course near Arrowtown from Jan. 28-31.
"Over many years we have found that January has always proved the most popular with golf fans and the sporting public," NZG chief executive Bill MacGowan said in a statement.
