Cricket-New Zealand polish off Indian first innings
WELLINGTON, April 4 (Reuters) - India were dismissed for 379 in their first innings on the second day of the third test with New Zealand on Saturday.
The tourists added just four runs to their overnight total of 375 for nine when they lost their last wicket after 2.1 overs of the morning session.
The innings ended when Ishant Sharma edged a catch behind off Chris Martin to wicketkeeeper Brendon McCullum for 18, leaving Munaf Patel unbeaten on 15.
Martin was the best of the New Zealand bowlers, finishing with 4-98, while Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni all scored half-centuries for India on day one.
India lead the three match series 1-0 after winning in Hamilton and drawing the second match in Napier.
