SYDNEY, May 27 (Reuters) - Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ.AX) plans an equity share placement involving institutional and sophisticated investors, it said on Wednesday.
It did not give further details.
It requested a halt to the trading of its shares pending an announcement. (Reporting by Mette Fraende)
