Australia's Macarthur to raise $190 mln-JP Morgan
SYDNEY, June 18 (Reuters) - Macarthur Coal Ltd (MCC.AX), an Australian coal producer, plans to raise A$190 million ($151 million) by selling new shares at A$6.00 each to fund growth, sole underwriter JP Morgan said on Thursday.
Earlier, Macarthur Coal had requested a halt to trading in its shares to undertake an equity raising. It did not give further details.
The offer is at a 9.4 percent discount to its last traded price.
The stock last traded at A$6.62 each, giving it a market value of A$1.4 billion ($1.1 billion). ($1=A$1.26) (Reporting by Denny Thomas and Sonali Paul)
