SYDNEY, June 26 (Reuters) - Australian airline Qantas Airways Ltd (QAN.AX) has cancelled orders for 15 Boeing Co (BA.N) B787-9 aircraft and deferred delivery of 15 B787-8 planes for four years, it said on Friday, citing the tough operating environment.

The airline said the action would reduce its capital expenditure by $3 billion.
