Australia's Wesfarmers to expand Curragh coal mine

MELBOURNE, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Australian conglomerate Wesfarmers Ltd (WES.AX) said on Tuesday it has approved the expansion of its Curragh open cut coal mine in central Queensland state.

Export production capacity will increase from the current 6.5-7.0 million tonnes per annum to 8.0-8.5 million tonnes from late 2011, the company said. (Reporting by Victoria Thieberger)
