Japan confirms 3 cases of new flu strain - media
TOKYO, May 9, (Reuters) - Three Japanese males were confirmed to have the new strain of flu, Japanese media reported on Saturday, citing health officials.
These are the first confirmed cases in Japan.
Kyodo news agency said the three were a high school teacher in his 40s and two teenage students who had returned from the United States.
The global spread of the virus has kept alive concern over a possible pandemic, although scientists say this strain does not appear more deadly than seasonal flu. (Reporting by Linda Sieg)
