Japan's MUFG to issue $11 bln in new shares-sources
TOKYO, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (8306.T: Quote, Profile, Research), Japan's largest bank, plans to issue about 1 trillion yen ($11 billion) worth of new shares by the end of the year, three sources familiar with the matter said.
MUFG plans to use the funds in part to meet an expected move by regulators to impose stricter capital requirements on banks, the sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the offering has not yet been made public. (Reporting by Taro Fuse)
