Nikkei climbs more than 2 percent

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei stock average rose more than 2 percent on Tuesday, with trading houses such as Itochu Corp (8001.T) surging after oil rose and banks gaining after a slew of U.S. peers beat forecasts.

At 6:10 a.m. British time the benchmark Nikkei .N225 had gained 258.47 points to 13,062.12. The broader Topix was up 1.7 percent at 1,273.86.

Credit headwind

News headlines speak of recovery, but financing is still a big problem in Germany. The dearth of credit to tide firms over is frustrating policymakers, who are blaming reluctant banks and there is little agreement on how best to increase lending flows.  Full Article
