Nikkei up 0.3 pct after upbeat Goldman, Intel results
TOKYO, July 15 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average rose 0.3 percent on Wednesday, after better-than-expected quarterly results from Goldman Sachs (GS.N: Quote, Profile, Research) and Intel (INTC.O: Quote, Profile, Research) offset concerns about weak consumer demand.
The benchmark Nikkei .N225 gained 29.52 points to 9,291.33.
The broader Topix .TOPX climbed 0.3 percent to 871.27.
