Nikkei flat, eyes on earnings; exporters up on yen
TOKYO, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei stock average was flat on Friday, with exporters such as Honda Motor Co (7267.T: Quote, Profile, Research) up after the yen lost ground, though concerns about consumer spending that took Wall Street lower were limiting gains.
Mizuho Financial Group (8411.T: Quote, Profile, Research), which announces earnings later on Friday, lost 0.6 percent, and other banks fell as well. The benchmark Nikkei .N225 shed 4.35 points to 9,800.14 yen, a day after snapping a four-day rising streak. The broader Topix .TOPX edged up 0.1 percent to 868.31. (Reporting by Elaine Lies)
