TOKYO, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Japanese National Strategy Minister Naoto Kan said on Tuesday the government hopes to come up with an economic growth strategy by the end of this year.

The possible growth strategy would not rely excessively on fiscal spending, Kan told a news conference.

Kan also said he would meet with visiting U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Wednesday. (Reporting by Leika Kihara)
