Brown to attend Europe crisis talks
LONDON (Reuters) - Prime Minister Gordon Brown will meet European leaders in Paris this weekend to discuss the financial crisis, but there are no plans to talk about a European bailout, Brown's spokesman said on Thursday.
"When the Prime Minister spoke to President Sarkozy this morning he confirmed that he would be attending the meeting in Paris on Saturday," the spokesman said.
"We are not anticipating any discussion of an EU-wide bailout fund at the meeting on Saturday. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss how each of the four major economies in Europe are responding to the global financial crisis."
