British bank shares plunge on govt funding talk

LONDON (Reuters) - Shares in British banks fell sharply again on Tuesday on reports of funding talks between the government and banks, traders said.

Royal Bank of Scotland was the biggest loser, with its shares down 30 percent to a 13-year low at 103.6 pence.

Pound picking up strength
