LONDON (Reuters) - The chief executives of Britain's leading banks are to hold discussions with the government later on Tuesday, an industry source said.

The source told Reuters that the banking chief executives are scheduled to hold talks with government officials during a conference call on Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier, a second source said the government plans to discuss the structure of a possible bank recapitalisation scheme with the country's lenders over the next few days, having held initial talks on the matter on Monday night.
