Iceland PM says 550 staff cut at Landsbanki

REYKJAVIK (Reuters) - Iceland's Prime Minister Geir Haarde said on Thursday 550 staff at Landsbanki, taken over by the government this week, had been let go.

Asked in a news conference whether there would be more job losses at the bank, Haarde said he could not say.

Pound picking up strength
