COLOMBEY-LES-DEUX-EGLISES, France (Reuters) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Saturday he would meet Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Sunday shortly before a meeting of euro zone countries' leaders on the financial crisis.

"I will receive Prime Minister Gordon Brown tomorrow at 3.30 p.m. (2:30 p.m. British time) at the Elysee (presidential palace). I will meet him in the company of the governor of the (European) central bank and the president of the (European) Commission," he told a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

"There is in this initiative the will to maximise the chances of coordination even if everyone has noticed that Gordon Brown, the English, are not part of the euro zone," he added.
