Oasis tops album charts
LONDON (Reuters) - Oasis went straight to number one in the album charts with "Dig Out Your Soul," the Official UK Charts Company said on Sunday.
It comes 15 years after the Gallagher brothers took the British music scene by storm.
Oasis knocked Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon off the top spot, with "Only by the Night" falling to number two.
Also moving down one spot was Pop Idol winner Will Young and "Let It Go" to number three.
Veteran songster Bob Dylan was a new entrant at number nine with "Tell Tale Signs."
There was little change at the top of the singles chart, with American singer Pink holding on to number one with "So What."
Still at number two was Kings of Leon with "Sex on Fire," while the all-girl band Sugababes rose one place from four to three with "Girls."
Indie band Kaiser Chiefs were a new entrant at five with "Never Miss a Beat."
