House prices down 3.4 percent in Aug

LONDON (Reuters) - House prices fell an annual 3.4 percent in August after a 0.3 percent annual fall in July, the Department for Communities and Local Government said on Tuesday.

Between July and August, prices fell by 2.7 percent.

The average house price stood at 211,410 pounds in August, the government said.
