Vietnam police bust porn Web site and arrest 15

HANOI (Reuters) - Vietnamese police have arrested at least 15 people for operating a popular pornographic Web site that allowed people to upload and download home-made sex photos and videos, state media reported on Thursday.

The site, which had 300,000 members, was launched in 2006 as a forum for "healthy sex education" but later turned into a porn site, the online newspaper Dan Tri (www.dantri.com.vn) reported.

The site's operators, men aged between 23 and 56, were taken into police custody in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in the past week.

Prostitution and pornography are illegal in the communist southeast Asian nation, and are punishable by up to 15 years in jail.
