Pound trades higher vs dollar

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Sterling traded higher against the dollar on Thursday with investors satisfied with the 100 basis point cut in the Bank of England's benchmark interest rate.

The Bank of England's key rate is now 2 percent.

Sterling last traded up 0.2 percent at $1.4800, closer to the session high of $1.4813. The session low on Thursday was $1.4471.
