Ford reviewing strategic options for Volvo: CEO
DETROIT (Reuters) - Ford Motor Co (F.N) is considering strategic options for its Volvo brand "right now," the U.S. automaker's top executive said on Tuesday.
Speaking on the sidelines of an event in Dearborn, Michigan, where the No. 2 U.S. automaker showed off some new vehicle models, Chief Executive Alan Mulally said Volvo is in a position where it is a good time to consider alternatives.
Although the current environment for the auto industry is tough, Mulally said the Volvo brand was very strong.
