Teenage boy stabbed to death in south London
LONDON (Reuters) - Detectives said on Tuesday they had launched a murder investigation after a youth was knifed to death in a south London park, the fifth fatal stabbing of a teenager in the capital this year.
Officers were called to Larkhall Park in Lambeth on Monday evening after two teenage boys were seen with injuries.
A 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene while the other, aged 17, was taken to hospital where his condition was described as stable.
He has been arrested on suspicion of assault over the incident.
Four others, two men aged 25 and 21 and two boys aged 17 and 15, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detectives said they were keeping an open mind as to the motive for the stabbing.
