Obama says U.S. backs Palestinian statehood
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama, after an Oval Office meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said on Monday the United States was committed to a two-state solution to the Middle East conflict.
Netanyahu told reporters Palestinians should govern themselves but made no mention of a separate state.
